#FOUNDIT: THE SARA DUKE TANNER DRESS

Sometimes when you’re searching for something, it’s right under your nose.  Finding a wedding dress was easy, but surprisingly, finding a reception dress has proved to be much harder for me.  I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect white dress to wear for our East Coast cocktail wedding reception, but I’ve had no luck. We’re having a large reception a month after our wedding and one of the stipulations of the venue is that I can’t wear an actual wedding dress (weird, right!?).  It doesn’t bother me because I don't want to wear it twice anyway, so the sartorial search continued - until I discovered Sara Duke’s Tanner Dress.

Based out of Toronto, Sara Duke’s minimalistic hand-cut pieces are made in Canada and constructed from locally sourced materials.  I’ve always been a fan of midi length dresses and the rayon twill fabric means I’ll be able to cheers, ugly cry, and strike a pose without breaking a sweat.  The clean, simple style makes the Tanner dress very versatile; I’ll dress it up for the party, but until then, I’ll use it to enjoy all this warm weather.
