The moment I stepped out of the house in these pants, my husband said “Hey! Why do you get to leave the house in sweatpants and I don't?!” I laughed and told him “Because fashion”.

What he was referring to is the fact that when he leaves the house in his sweats, I can’t resist a little tease or a poke. To be fair, his sweatpants are very different than mine: they are oversized and worn - exactly what you want in a great pair of indoor sweatpants.

In general, he’s right: women can easily pull off sweats outside of the house and still look fashionable. We simply have more options than men when it comes to casual pants. As someone that deeply values comfort, I proudly exercise my right to wear my sweatpants outside of the home and still feel put together.

P.S. Comfort comes at a low cost: these grey joggers are just $10.50!

My favourite lazy outfit: grey sweatpants, sandals, a Mezzi bag, and black sunglasses.
